Platform 9 Restaurant and Wine Bar has appointed Matthew Lockhart as their new head chef. Mr Lockhart, formerly from the Watermark Hotel Brisbane, has launched new breakfast, lunch and dinner menus, promising an unforgettable dining experience.

Among a sumptuous array of lunchtime options is Platform 9's mouth-watering 250g rump or grilled market fish served with salad and idaho potato for $14.50 and includes a complimentary glass of wine or beer.

Mr Lockhart, a head chef of more than 16 years, said he was excited to deliver great food at great prices. "Sourcing good quality and locally grown produce has increased our options to deliver fresher, gourmet menu selections for our customers," he said.

Mr Lockhart said he was looking for local producers to contact him to discuss supplying the restaurant.

"Local producers are happier seeing their produce on local plates and it helps drive the local economy," he said.
